The MSCA project held its latest network meeting from 10 to 12 September 2025, hosted jointly by the University of Southampton (UoS) and University College London (UCL). The three-day event combined research presentations, training sessions, and laboratory visits, strengthening collaboration between doctoral candidates and supervisors across the consortium.

The meeting began at the University of Southampton, where participants gathered for an informal evening event to reconnect and welcome new members to the network. The following day focused on academic and training activities, including a guided visit to the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) laboratories. Parallel morning sessions brought together the Supervisory and Management Boards, while postdoctoral researchers took part in a training workshop on MSCA Fellowships. In the afternoon, doctoral candidates presented their latest research progress, fostering discussion and feedback among peers and supervisors.

On the final day, the meeting moved to University College London. After a group transfer from Southampton to London, participants joined parallel sessions dedicated to soundscape research (for doctoral candidates) and standardization and labelling discussions (for supervisors). The afternoon continued with a guided tour of UCL’s Bloomsbury campus and a technical visit to the university’s Acoustics Laboratory at HereEast, offering a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge on experimental methods and innovative facilities.

The Southampton–London meeting once again highlighted the network’s commitment to scientific excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the professional development of its early-stage researchers.
